Opportunity Goals and Objectives:
The goal of this opportunity is to recruit and establish 3 new FRC rookie teams for the FIRST Idaho FRC Program for the 2024-25 season. This is the high school level (ages 14-18) with task-oriented industrial robots weighing up to 150 lbs.
The end goal is to create a pipeline of progression of programs for students as they grow to graduation.
Funding Schedule:
Open: August 27, 2024
Close: September 15, 2024
Award Date: No later than October 1, 2024

Max Funding per Award:
$6,000 per team FIRST 2024-25 season registration (paid directly to FIRST)
Mini Flat-bot kit – ($4,000 kit & tools designed and compiled by Team Tators FRC 2122) A 50%-scale robot kit will be available this fall to build, prototype, program and use for driving practice, community outreach and team recruitment. This kit will be delivered to you by October 15th. A part of the successful completion of this grant to receive the coaches’ stipend includes proof that this mini-bot has been built and is being used as prescribed.
We are coordinating a one-day event on a Saturday to gather and build with a few of your students and our mentor team. This will be determined based on the availability of the teams.
Payable upon completion of the final season grant report including accurate demographics for continued sponsor support:
$1,000 coaches’ stipend ($750 lead mentor, $500 assistant mentor) at the completion of the season.
Up to $400 travel, dependent upon distance to Nampa (to be used toward travel, housing, or food) for the Idaho Regional FRC Robotics Competition at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, March 26-29, 2025.
